Raleigh Cooper's One! ~ Louisiana Lifestyle Photographer

This little fella is why I write blogs!! I had to share this awesome cuteness with the world! One thing I have learned in the previous few months ~ I have an obsession with baby feet! LOL I think I've already made that statement, but come on! Baby feet! Look at them!!

A few weeks ago, I got to spend the evening with this cutie, Mr. Raleigh Cooper from Sarepta, Louisiana. He brightened up my sweaty day! It just reiterates how much I love my job ~ how can you spend an evening capturing these moments and not be happy? I can't believe I get paid for this!

Shelaine contacted me about doing pictures to celebrate him turning one, and wanted to do a cake smash. Her only request ~ vintage baseball! You'll see that come into play further down ;)

Being a country girl, I love when clients request outside, fun and country shots. I had a few things in my mind, but the morning of the shoot, my dad was rolling up hay. I immediately messaged her and asked if we could do that! Heck yeah! Here's what became of it...

Can you handle it? I can't!! Look at him! The cool thing is his big brother, Micah, wore this for his first birthday, too!

When I was going through the shots, at first glance when I saw this one, I was like, "Love it!" When I actually fell into the image, I got lost in his laughter! Look at him!! One of my favorite things about Raleigh, is that he is just so full of joy all the time! All I got from him was laughter, smiles, giggles, and curiosity...

Look at that face! Hilarious!

This is one of my favorites... I love capturing moments like this ~ pure curiosity. I don't know if it was the dog, mom, or my dad in the field next to us baling hay that caught his eye, but I am so glad I got to witness it :)

After a good ole time on the ranch, we headed up to the ball field to smash a cake!! LOL I can't get over this ~ You never know what to do expect when a child gets handed a pile of sugary sweetness for the first time... Love? Hatred? Curiosity? I've seen it all LOL Here, you get to take a peek into the fun we had! A big thanks to Ashley Morgan with Lydia's Lovies for his Tie and Diaper Cover, and Lisa Park with Lagniappe Confections for this awesome cake!!

I have to end with one of my favorite shots of the evening... I love this. I would pay a million dollars to know what he's thinking :) Thank you, Shelaine, for allowing me to be a part of this!

The Beautiful Hannah White ~ Louisiana Senior Photographer

Senior, Claiborne Academy Class of 2016

You’re off to great places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So... get on your way!
— Dr. Seuss, Oh The Places You'll Go!

After a month of planning to blog about my shoots, I'm finally getting it together! Working an 8-5 as well as photographing, I was trying to prioritize the shoots themselves and editing above blogging and social media, but I love sharing my clients sessions, so here I go! I struggled with what shoot to start blogging with, and timing has hit perfect for me to start with Miss Hannah White.

This one is going to be hard, because I've known Hannah for a very long time and it's crazy to think she is going to be a Senior!! It makes me feel old :O I can remember when I was starting my senior year and the excitement I felt like it was yesterday! I'm so excited for Hannah and this year she has ahead of her! I'm so proud of her and the woman she is becoming; it's becoming more rare to come across girls who have hearts like hers :)

My favorite thing about this session was that Hannah was up for anything! She knew I was wanting to head to Shreveport and just play, and she was down! I love that she trusted me to give her a location, while allowing her to be unique and herself! All she requested was a shot with a big red balloon! As we were driving into Downtown Shreveport, the bottom fell out! Where the rain came from, we had no clue, but we were ready for anything!

We got a break in the rain and took advantage! I can't get over these colors and how they just make her pop!

And of course, it started raining again, so we took cover (or she did, anyways) ~ it might have turned into my favorite shot!

Realizing it was NOT going to let up for a while, we decided to get creative...

Once it finally stopped, we went for our main shot! I love the childlike feel that this photo exudes ~ coming from a small town, the structure and tone of it really exhibits the reluctance, fear and excitement of stepping out in this great big world.

I am so proud of Hannah and who she has become. I can't wait to see what God has in store for her :) Congratulations girl! Love you!!
