Dixie Cotton Gin Wedding {Taylor & Aaron}

I always like to have an initial meet up with my wedding clients to make sure we are a perfect fit and talk about their love story... since they were a little out of town, we decided to meet in Ruston. When they suggested Sundown Tavern for lunch, I knew it was meant to be, LOL! Nothing like a client with a great taste in burgers! But they far surpassed my expectations! These two are such cuties! As I went back through their wedding day, I could see the love written all over their faces! I don't think they could have picked a more perfect place for their fall wedding, than the Dixie Gin!

Taylor & Aaron might have waited until the ceremony to see each other, but Taylor had to grab a first look with dad... as the biggest daddy's girl ever, I tend to get a little overwhelmed during this moment!

These two celebrated with a very special group of friends ;) LOL! The love and joy celebrated that night was just too much! My cheeks hurt by the end of the night from all the smiling and laughter!

Can we just for a minute, drool over Social Bites in Ruston's cake majesty??

It takes a strong man to be an officer, but an even stronger woman to stand by his side.

Nothing thrills me more than to be able to photograph a friend's wedding. It's such a joy to be able to see someone you've watched grow up commit themselves to another in the joy of love.

I graduated with Taylor's older sister, and living in in a small town, you definitely know everyone! The excitement is 1,000 times stronger when you know all those faces and truly see the glow behind each of them.

We had way too much fun getting ready!! Taylor had to show off her self-tanned feet! LOL!

When the only thing the groom asks for is to wait until the ceremony to see his bride, a good woman knows to not let him see her ;) But, when you're so overwhelmingly in love with someone, the excitement is just unbearable!! So I arranged for them to have a few minutes together, but still not be able to see each other... They both wrote letters to each other, and the electricity from just passing a note made it feel like grade school!

I could have watched these two dance all night... they were in their own little world!

It literally rained right up to about 10 minutes before the ceremony, and I can't lie, I know everyone was on max stress level because we all were winging it! But God heard all of our prayers and it stopped long enough for the ceremony and started raining again as soon as we all got out onto the street! But that passed quickly as well and this gorgeous rainbow came out and then the sun decided to tease us just for a second!! God is so good!!

When you meet the man of your dreams, you think it'll be like all the little fairy tales you see in the movies - meet, fall in love, get married, and live happily ever after... But Michael had a different plan ;) Cause you know, he's Michael and doesn't like to do things like anyone else, lol. Being from a small town, if you don't know know someone, you at least have heard about them. I knew they had been together for forever, but didn't know all the details.

When we met up for their engagements, I asked my typical - how long have you been together, how'd you meet, yada yada. This is where it got good... If you know Lindsay, you know the attitude that came over her when she told me this story - They had been together for two years when they went on a trip to celebrate in June (remember that month... JUNE). He had a ring. She wasn't stupid. They loved each other, it was gonna happen, what's he waiting on? CHRISTMAS... he waited until CHRISTMAS! Cause he's that funny LOL. Let me tell you something even better! He waited till Christmas NIGHT LOL!! Made that goofy girl wait all day!! That right there, totally sums up their relationship - the funny, hard headed, we will be giving each other a hard time for the rest of our lives, but I can't wait to spend it with you, kinda relationship :)

The First Look | Nothing gives me more joy than to give the Bride & Groom a few moments to just enjoy each other and let all the nervous energy of the day wash away!

One of my favorite reasons to have a second shooter is so I can spend every minute with the Bride leading up to the ceremony. Sometimes, a moment with dad is just as important to calm those nerves as seeing your groom :)
