Well, if you're here, it means one of two things... you accidentally clicked the about tab and just scared yourself looking at my crazy laughing self, or you want to know more about what makes me so goofy! If it's the latter, scroll on down to read about my journey!

Callie Hearnsberger Carter - How well do you know your photographer?

I've always felt like a gypsy soul, blowing in the wind, wondering where in the world God wanted me to be. To do a quick glance over the past fourteen years... I had no clue what I wanted to do when I graduated high school. Went to LSU and got a degree in Sociology (minor in Business because I couldn't make up my mind and racked up enough credits), moved back to Springhill and worked for my uncle on his car lot for a year, then went to LA Tech and got a degree in Interior Design, then moved halfway across the country to New York City! Then God finally smacked me upside the head and I got my booty back to Springhill, stole the love of my life's heart all over again, and now I'm married to him!
Whew! That was a wild ride! But I wouldn't change anything for the world. When I was living in NYC, the only way I know how to express my love for the drive and beauty of the city, was to create a blog and flood it with photographs. Ding ding ding! This was one of my first clues that I needed to focus on my love of photography. With a little nudging from a few friends, I decided to share my love with the world. Hence, the wild ride I started three years ago! I've always had a passion for photography, being attached to my camera since I was young, but never thought I would be able to make a full-time career out of it! I am so thankful for those that pushed me to pursue this, because I don't know who I would be without photography.
The first two years of my photography career, I did anything and everything to learn and shoot. I very rarely said no, and ended up working myself into a rut. I had to remind myself that my husband and our family/friends had to take back their priority. I had to remind myself that I had to keep God first, for He gave me this talent to do His works. I no longer work on Sundays, giving that day to renewing my soul and enjoying time with my family and friends.
The past year I decided to focus on perfecting my niche and dedicate my time and effort to give my clients the best work I possibly could. Instead of attempting everything, I decided to focus on just a few things. My heart and soul are poured into all of my work, with my high school seniors taking the cake! I have been so blessed by so many of them, that I'm so thankful I make sure we set time aside to get to know each other and bring that out in their session. Make sure to check out the Senior Rep Experience here to see what all I put into it, along with regular senior sessions here! I'll never forget how awesomely unpredictable my senior year and the transition to college life outside of this small town was... being able to capture all those emotions with someone is one of the coolest experiences!
Besides your senior year, I focus on two other milestones in your life... the joy of turning one and getting approval to be messy and silly in a deliciously sweet cake; and the indescribable feeling of getting to marry the one you've set your heart on spending the rest of your life with.
