Callie Hearnsberger Carter - How well do you know your photographer?
I've always felt like a gypsy soul, blowing in the wind, wondering where God wanted me to be. I decided to pick up and move to New York City a couple of years ago, and it was one of the best years of my life. The only way I knew how to express my love for the drive and beauty of the city, was to create a blog and flood it with photographs. This was one of my first clues that I needed to focus on my love of photography... as one of the best ways to express myself, I decided to share my love with the world. I love the mark New York left on me, and I am so grateful that I got to capture the city in all its essence. I believe it matured me and who I am, while also tattering away a small corner of my country self - molding me into a small town country girl with a touch of city :)
I am now back in good-ole home grown, small town Louisiana, and my passion for photography continues to grow daily. I've always had a passion for it, being attached to my camera since I was young, and I'm always learning something new! I have to thank the ones around me that have pushed me to pursue this business full-time, I wouldn't be where I am and who I am without you! After two years of figuring out how to pursue my dream, always saying yes, and putting God and family first, I've finally worked myself out a schedule to keep my clients a priority while still keeping God center and making sure the ones I love always come first. I forgot that we used to make it okay without instant gratification and immediate responses through social media, and I hope you understand I've set aside time in the evenings to focus on my friends and family, and the day and most weekends to spending time creating memories with my clients and editing their images :D
Although the past couple years I have attempted to never turn down an opportunity to learn and experience new shoots, this year I'm focusing more on perfecting my niche and really dedicating all my time and effort to giving you my absolute best work. I have become obsessed with my seniors and have been so blessed to get to know them so well during their sessions! My Senior Squad Rep Program has become one of my favorite things to pour my heart, soul, and wallet into ;) I'll never forget how awesomely unpredictable my senior year and the transition to college life outside of this small town was... being able to capture all those emotions with someone is one of the coolest experiences! I know we have cell phones glued to our hands these days and Facebook and Snapchat and Instagram help us capture every day memories, but my goal is to give seniors (and their moms) a professional quality at capturing you in all that you are in the most unique way and making your senior year absolutely memorable!
Go the complete opposite direction and you'll find me laying in the grass or on the floor capturing some of the best memories of your children's first birthday... cake smashes are one of my favorite shoots, like ever! There's nothing like capturing the joy of a child while they're being their silly, goofy self and learning how amazing sugar is! It's always a good reminder to embrace your inner child and laugh everyday! Ask my clients, I can't get through a shoot without being a little silly ;) Who wouldn't want to have an excuse to be silly??
If you are interested in working with me or have any questions, please feel free to contact me! Thank you so much for spending your time checking out my work!
